Organizational-based model and agent-based simulation for long-term carpooling

Summary (EN)

This paper presents an organizational model based on the CRIO (Capacity, Role, Interaction, Organization) metamodel for long-term carpooling simulation. The model is mapped to an agent-based simulation to reproduce the emergence of carpooling under various conditions. Negotiation phases include carpooling social network exploration, negotiation, trip execution, and carpool termination. The focus is on adapting individual daily schedules to facilitate cooperation between agents. The model was implemented on the Janus platform and tested with FEATHERS population data from Flanders. Results show the importance of activity constraints on the duration and success of long-term carpooling arrangements.
